On this day September 14, 1868 the fourth death occurs in the Thorsted family.

Seven year old Ane Catherine Jensen Thorsted dies from sickness she caught on board the Emerald Isle. She was buried in the New York City cemetery possibly on Ward’s Island where the hospital was. Ane was born, May 21, 1861 in Snedsted, Denmark. She was the 10th child of Jens & Ane Thorsted.
